A Night to Remember

Well what more can be said than I had tears in my eyes when the King stepped on the field, and what made my night and probably my week is that Thierry Henry scored the winning goal. It was magical to see him so excited and pumped, screaming to the crowd and he ran and hugged Arsene “the Boss” Wenger, it was simply priceless to see.

In a game when we looked to dominate but didn’t really have any clear cut chances, there were some positives. Arshavin who has been very poor and lazy this season, at least looked like he was putting in 100% as he tormented Leeds defenders, so I hope he continues this. As for Coquelin that boy is just getting better and better, I was very sad to see yet another injury and especially from him, but one thing is for sure is that he is putting his hand up for constant first team football.

Now the OX, all I can say is that Walcott is in big trouble. The OX seems to play with far more strength and confidence and the way things are going I don’t think it will be long until Theo has lost his first team place.

When Henry was warming up you could just sense the crowds growing excitement as he chanted “Thierry Henry Thierry Henry” and then just after 60 minutes he pulls on his number 12 Jersey and the crowd lose it, the King had Returned, he had come home and his people were overjoyed. You could notice that one player in particular was always looking for Henry to pass to, Alex Song, and that is exactly what he did, a beautiful through ball to find the King, and Henry did what we saw him do all those years ago time and time again, he finished it with ease. Probably a memory that will stick with me and Gunners alike until the day that we die.

I am hoping that the Boss decides to play Van Persie and Henry together, because that will just be delicious. Bring on the next game and bring on more of the King
