Known for his exceptional versatility, composure on the ball, and ability to dictate play from deep positions, Rice's performances have caught the attention of top clubs across Europe.

Arsenal's Pursuit:

If you were a betting man, gambling compliance followed of course, you would think that Arsenal would be first in line. Arsenal, a club with a rich history and an ardent fanbase, has had its fair share of struggles in recent years. The Gunners have been in search of a commanding midfielder to bolster their ranks and provide stability in the middle of the park. With his impressive performances for West Ham and the England national team, Rice has emerged as a prime target for Arsenal.

The Transfer Rumors:

The media frenzy surrounding Rice's potential move to Arsenal intensified during the off-season. Rumour's suggested that the Gunners are keen to acquire his services, with talks between the clubs and player representatives ongoing. Speculations ranges from the transfer fee involved to the player's willingness to join Arsenal.

Player's Ambitions:

While Rice has a deep connection with West Ham United, it is natural for ambitious players to seek new challenges and a chance to compete at the highest level. The allure of playing for a storied club like Arsenal, with its rich history and the prospect of European football, may have been a significant factor in Rice's consideration.West Ham's Stance:

West Ham, on the other hand, would be reluctant to part ways with their prized asset. Rice is not only a talented player but also a leader within the squad. The Hammers would demand a substantial transfer fee, which could potentially break Arsenal's transfer record. Furthermore, West Ham's recent success under manager David Moyes might make them more determined to hold on to their key players.

Impact on Rice and Arsenal:

Should the transfer saga culminate in Rice joining Arsenal, it would undoubtedly be a significant move for both parties. Rice would have the opportunity to showcase his talents on a bigger stage and compete for major honors. Arsenal, on the other hand, would gain a player of immense quality, who could provide stability and dynamism to their midfield.

As with any transfer saga, the outcome of the Declan Rice-Arsenal situation remains uncertain. The final decision lies in the hands of the player, the clubs, and various other factors that can influence the outcome. Ultimately, the transfer saga serves as a reminder of the excitement and drama that surrounds football's transfer market.
Calehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05218409437388710012noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7794457823662564603.post-37904164849332711562020-10-21T01:13:00.001-07:002020-10-21T01:13:15.367-07:00Arsenal rank in the top 10 - in the worlds biggest football clubs

The guys over at With a Fun Filter, as sport mad as they are have created a really comprehensive list of the top football clubs in the world. In recent years as you all know we have had our ups and downs but with Mikel Arteta at the wheel (yes I said it) fans like myself are feeling more hopeful than ever.

Arsenal have some hard fixtures on the horizon, but the the improvement in form is there for everyone to see. The 1-0 loss to Man City was actually a disappointment to fans, when it past years it was just a formality.

With Auba as captain and new summer signings such as Gabriel and Partey, fans are looking forward to games again. When coming up against tougher opposition or even going behind in games, the team lacked the fighting spirit to compete and get back up. But since the Spaniards return to the Gunners fans have seen something change.

If you had to look at igaming search or any other betting company before his arrival odd's of finishing in the 4 would have been slim. But this year fans and players are already starting to look with hope at what can be achieved. Arsene Wenger has backed Arsenal to be the “surprise package” of the Premier League this season and believes Mikel Areta’s side could achieve more than a top-four finish.

Asked in an Observer Q&A what advice he would give to Arteta, the 70-year-old replied: “To continue to have a grip on the team, as he has at the moment. And to go to the end of his beliefs.

“I think there is a good team spirit and they have a good chance to do well. I believe it will not be very difficult to improve on the number of points they got last season.

“But I’m convinced Arsenal can be in the top four, if not more. Why not more? They can be the surprise package for me this year: they bought well, they strengthened the defence well.

“And they kept the players who were already there. In my last year I bought (Pierre-Emerick) Aubameyang, they kept him. They have every ingredient and no real weakness.”

Arsenal take on Pep's Man City next in the league which will be a real test for the team. Arteta got one over his mentor in the FA Cup semi final earlier this year and he will be hoping for a similar performance from the team.

As Arsenal fans lets hope that he can get it done.

Calehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05218409437388710012noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7794457823662564603.post-58151037661753850542020-09-22T02:22:00.001-07:002020-09-22T02:22:25.993-07:00Top 5 Premier League Managers

Football is something that can bring entire nations together, and your favourite team can mean a great deal to you. Websites such as Olybet provide great betting odds on your favorite teams. However, the teams we know and love would be nothing without their managers, and over the years we’ve certainly had some fantastic managers as a part of our premier league. We have put together a list of 5 of the top managers to take you down memory lane and remember the true heroes of the premier league.

1) Sir Alex Ferguson

There’s no way we could put this list together without including Sir Alex, and for good reason. Ferguson managed to win 13 Premier League titles as manager, which was more than half of all Premier Leagues his team were involved in. Since his retirement, it is clear that a huge gap has been left in football, and it seems unlikely that anyone else will ever be able to live up to the excellency that Ferguson brought to the table.

2) Arsene Wenger

Second only to Ferguson when it comes to Premier League titles won, Wenger has certainly helped Arsenal to reach great heights within the Premier League. Indeed, this excellent manager was responsible for the one and only undefeated league run in history – a feat that seems unlikely to be repeated at any point in the near future. His revolutionary ideas helped to transform the Premier League, and it seems certain that his influence will be strong for many years to come.

3) Antonio Conte

It may seem as though it’s early days to be putting Conte in a list like this – but we think it’s just as much about potential as anything else. As only the second manager to lead his team to victory in his first ever Premier League season, Conte had to work incredibly hard to lift Chelsea – who were not in a good position at the time – towards their win. The formation of three at the back that Conte adopted has been copied by many other teams in the league, showing just how influential this manager is.

4) Claudio Ranieri

Sometimes, something happens in the world of football that leaves everyone stunned, and nothing shows this more than Leicester City’s Premier League win. Claudio Ranieri was the man at the helm for this victory, and although he had a lot of support from the rest of the training team at the club, it is clear that his leadership was key when it came to getting the most out of each and every player in the team. He had also done a good job at Chelsea before getting the manager’s role at Leicester, but we’re fairly certain we know what he’ll be remembered for the most.

5) Manuel Pellegrini

In charge of Manchester City, Pellegrini managed to become one of just nine managers to win a Premier League title, which is no small feat. Pellegrini helped the team to develop one of the best attacking sides seen for a number of years, leading to many clubs following their lead to try and copy their style. There is no doubt that Pellegrini has made his mark on the competition thanks to his work with City.

Calehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05218409437388710012noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7794457823662564603.post-20011910916133870832020-09-21T01:07:00.004-07:002020-09-21T01:07:58.696-07:00How Many Points Do Arsenal Need to Gather in Order to Hope for the Title? As soon as the previous season in the Premier League ended, which was a month ago, a new one has already started in the novel circumstances. The new season in England began with the traditional match between the champions and the winners of the FA Cup. In the battle for the Community Shield trophy against Liverpool at the cult Wembley, Arsenal showed their fans the contours of what can be expected of them in 2020/21.

In the overture of the beginning of the Premier League, scheduled for September 12, both teams fought for the 16th trophy of the competition, once known as the Charity Shield, in the club’s history. Given that both teams were deprived of the services of several important players (Arsenal lacked Calum Chambers, Shkodran Mustafi, and Gabriel Martinelli), the win over the champions weighs tones.

The rivals commanded by Jürgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta had the last faceoff prior to the Community Shield in mid-July, when ‘The Gunners’ prevailed by a 2-1, thanks to the goals of Alexandre Lacazette and Reiss Nelson after the turnaround. Although the victory on Wembley came after the penalty shootout, it’s counted as the second in a row against the reigning champions and heats up the title hopes of the Arsenal fans…

Arsenal’s ‘Invincibles’ Created a New Breed of Title-Winners

Given that the encounter for the first trophy in the season happened so close to the start of the 2020/21 Premier League, it has to be stressed what chances do Arsenal have to be at the top of the table by the end of May next year. More importantly, do ‘The Gunners’ need to adopt a specific pace in the season? Of course, winning the FA Cup in the post-corona part of the last season, followed by the win in the Community Shield, showed a glimpse of hope for the title battle…

Actually, the study showed that exactly the way Arsenal won the championship, 16 years ago, pointed out to all the teams in the Premier League what rhythm of playing is necessary to set in order to get crowned. Some think that the arrival of José Mourinho at Chelsea was the turning point in the way titles are won, given that he was a supporter of a fast start of the season when a club has title aspirations, numbers say that in reality, the Arsenal’s ‘Invincibles’ are the new breed of title-winners.

‘The Gunners’ led from the front in 2003/04, tallying 24 points in the first 10 games of the season which was, at the time, the second-highest point tally at that point of the season in the Premier League history. At the end of the season, Arsenal had 90 points – also the second-highest score at the time, this time in the total points tally.

Is the Statistical Margin Achievable for ‘The Gunners’?

Since then, a 10-game margin became highly important. The study says that prior to 2003, the average points tally of eventual champions was 20.8. After that, it turned out it was necessary to collect 24 points on average in the first 10 rounds to hope to win the title. Until 2003, the average placement on the charts of eventual champions in the first 10 games was 2.5. Now, every placement lower than the second place in the first quarter of the season means a farewell to the championship.

What about qualifying for the Champions League? When the Premier League’s ‘Big Four’ turned into the ‘Top Six’ (and Arsenal is, of course, in both) in 2010, the teams falling into this crème de la crème of English football were to flex their muscles from the day one in the season to finish in the top four and advance to Europe’s most elite competition.

Ever since, there have been 14 points tallies of 25+ after 10 matches, compared to three beforehand. It showed how much harder it has become to even be in contention for a top-four spot after 10 games, let alone secure one by the end of the season.

Statistically, if Arsenal want to secure at least the fourth place in the table on May 23, they have to earn slightly above 19 points in the first 10 games. Before 2010, it was easier to clinch the fourth place given that a team aiming for that had to collect 18.1 points on average.

Calehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05218409437388710012noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7794457823662564603.post-29772715790777042902018-07-06T01:29:00.003-07:002018-07-06T01:29:53.642-07:00England, Panama Pillow Fight at the FIFA World CupIt seems as if the battle between England and Panama was more of a man’s pillow fight rather than a soccer match. On Sunday, 24 June 2018 we witnessed the English team clashing with Panama. England scored 6 goals and Panama scored only one. It was actually like cutting into a cake for the English team while Panama was struggling to stand on its feet since as it was getting heavy blows from its opponent. In the first half, England managed to get its first four scores while Panama was still staggering.
Harry Kane

Captain Kane became the leading scorer in the FIFA World Cup tournament on this day. Kane scored 3 goals in a match played against Panama. Harry Kane scored his first two goals from the penalty spot in the first half. Later on, he scored a third goal to achieve his hat-trick. Now everyone from top online casinos and sports betting sites is waiting to see if Kane will break James Rodrigues record. Rodrigues become the top scorer in 2014 by achieving 6 goals in the World Cup tournament. However, anything can happen in the World Cup. Let's wait and see what happens.

John Stones

The English team defender helped its team to climb the ladder with two goals. These were his first goals since he started playing for the Three Lions. It was the first time in the English Team history to score five goals in the first half.

Felipe Baloy

Even though England walks away with the most pillow blows in the match against Panama, at least Panama’s defender Felipe Baloy gave them one huge blow they will remember. Defender Baloy did not only get one goal during the June 24 match, he also broke the record of Panama getting their first goal in the FIFA World Cup finals. And the celebrations where like those of someone who had won a real money online casino jackpot from pokies online Australia.

Jesse Lingard
The most beautiful score come from Jesse Lingard. An absolute screamer of a goal. Lingard earned himself a penalty kick after being aggressively tackled down in the penalty box. Lingard stepped up to show that he is a lion with a nasty bite with his 36th-minute goal.

Europa League Tied to Wenger's Future

Arsène Wenger is picking the strongest possible squad for Arsenal in the upcoming Europa League as the decision over his future with the club comes into question. Without a doubt the manager will be going all out to win the competition ahead of the summer review of his position with Arsenal. Should he fail, this will be the first season in which he has not managed to lift a major trophy or even finished in the Top Four.

Lacazette is Out

Arsenal losing striker Alexandre Lacazette on Monday for as many as 6 weeks due to a knee injury will no doubt have a big effect on the online betting NZ has to offer for the event. This leaves Danny Welbeck to lead the team’s attack on Ostersunds in the first leg of their last 32-tie on Thursday. This is because Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not eligible for the Europa League. Wenger otherwise intends to be at full strength before his own situation comes up for discussion later on in 2018 as his squad tries to avoid a repeat of the uncertainty around management that dominated last season.

This would mean making decision earlier on this summer or early on next season about Wenger’s contract with the club. It is understood that all options, including making a change in 2018, extending his contract beyond 2020, or announcing that next season will be his last, remain a possibility.

CE Ivan Gazidis Backed by Kroenke

Arsenal felt less than 100% prepared in 2018 for what a world without Wenger would look like, but Ivan Gazidis, the chief executive, is supported by Stan Kroenke, the majority owner, in leading a total overhaul of the structures surrounding the 68-year old manager.

Significantly, Sven Mislintat, the new head of recruitment, Huss Fahmy, the new contract negotiator, and Gazidis formed the delegation from Arsenal last month to complete the club's record signing of Aubameyang.

A New Head of Football Relations

Raul Sanllehi, the former director of football at Barcelona, has also now started work as the head of football relations for Arsenal. His role will not be focussed on just transfers, but will also involve representing Arsenal in an administrative capacity at UEFA and elite club meetings. One of the key attractions of Sanllehi is is his contacts book, and, to this extent, his arrival will also assist the club in preparing itself for life beyond Wenger.

No Decisions Made Yet

No new resolutions are yet in place regarding Wenger’s long-term prospects, and he has so far accepted the changes happening around him. The squad does, however, feel better equipped with the transition which will eventually occur, and they are adamant that the decisions will be made in the best interests of Arsenal, rather than relying on sentiment or deference to their long-serving and super successful manager. There seems to be a level of irritation present that such faith has been invested in Arsène Wenger and he is being met with such loyalty.

Should Wojciech Szczęsny Have Been Sold?

The Gunners sold the goalkeeper from Poland to Juventus last summer, but Szczęsny has gone on to make waves as a stand-in for No.1 Gianluigi Buffon, while the Arsenal first-choice, Petr Cech, has seen his form questioned.

The wait for Cech’s 200th Premier League clean sheet went on over the weekend as Arsenal suffered a loss of 1 - 0 against Tottenham. The Gunner’s No. 1 has not been able to keep a clean sheet since the middle of December, in the 1 - 0 win over Newcastle that punters who’d backed Arsenal thanks to the online betting NZ provides will remember. As Harry Kane powered home the 23rd league goal of this season on Saturday, the look of agony on the 35-year old player’s face was plain for all to see.

A Good Game for Cech Anyway

However, although he conceded at Wembley, the north London derby on Saturday was, believe it or not, one of Cech’s better performances. He was named man of the match at WhoScored.com, with a rating of 8.15, and it was the heroics he performed between the sticks that gave his team a fighting chance of emerging from the match with some kind of result.

Indeed, this almost happened late in the game, only for Lacazette to drag an effort wide in injury time against the run of the play. The issue, however, is that Cech’s poorer performances are starting to outweigh the good.

The Most Errors this Season

Over the course of this season alone, not a single other player has managed to commit more errors that have gone on to result in a goal for the opposition than Cech has. He has the dubious record of four in a total of 27 appearances in Europe's Top Five leagues.

In comparison, Wojciech Szczęsny has committed only three in 84 Serie A outings in the last two-and-a-half years, and none of these have come in over the course of this campaign. Of course one has to take into account that Szczęsny is working from behind the formidable defence of Juventus, but Roma were also far from solid in his second full season in the capital. They conceded 38 goals to Arsenal’s 44 in the campaign of 2016/2017.

Comparing Szczęsny and Cech

Since Szczęsny left the Gunners to join Roma on loan in 2015, the Pole has faced, on average, 2.71 shots per game in comparison to Cech’s 2.93.

Over that same period they have a success rate that is relatively similar. Szczęsny edges it at 74.8% to Cech’s 73.8%, and this season looks likely to tell a similar tale, with Szczęsny standing at 66.7% and Cech at 66.3%.

For the watertight backline Juventus has in place only six of the 15 league goals they have conceded over this term have come in the 12 games that Szczęsny began. While, with Cech, in goal position, Arsenal have conceded a total of 36 times. This is worryingly more than any of the other teams in the Premier League’s Top Six.

Wenger Wants to Sign Midfielder

Arsène Wenger wants Arsenal to sign a midfielder on the summer free transfer. He has reportedly offered Oguzhan Ozyakup, the former player for Academy, a big contract in an effort to entice him back to The Emirates. The 25-year old player is reaching the end of his contract at Besiktas, the Turkish giant, and is able to start talking about a move in the summer.
A Firm Offer Has Been Made

Arsenal has long been linked with an interest in signing the midfielder, who, as those who enjoy the sports betting NZ has to offer will remember all too well, spent a promising four years at The Emirates as a youth player. Aksam is, however now reporting that a real offer has been made and talks have begun.

Reports state that Wenger has had personal conversations with Ozyakup about his making a return to north London, and that he is taking incredible transfer offers into consideration. Ozyakup is captain of Besiktas, but his form has experienced a dip recently, with insiders saying that it’s the offer from Arsenal that has turned his head. Reports remain consistent in that Ozyakup is very seriously considering linking up once more with Wenger in the Premier League. He has 6 months to go on his deal.

Arsenal Dealt Another Blow

Faltering Arsenal has just been dealt another blow after it was established that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be able to play for them in the Europa League this season. The Gunners had feverishly hoped that their £56 million January signing would be permitted to represent his new team when the competition begins as he has only previously featured in the Champions League with Dortmund.

Under regular circumstances he would be able to play in the contest, since he is not cup-tied, at least in the traditional sense, having not kicked a Europa League ball. But, thanks to Dortmund dropping into the competition after they got knocked out of the Champions League group stages, Aubameyang is ineligible to play for Arsenal in case they get a game against his former squad. This must be worse than having underdog status, as he has been benched with no other options.

More Bad News

Alexandre Lacazette has been ruled out of play for between 4 and 6 weeks after his knee surgery. The forward from France arrived from Lyon in the summer for £46.5 million, and has so far scored a total of 9 goals in his 33 appearances -but only 1 in his last 13 matches.

Having lost his spot to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Lacazette looked likely to start in the Europa League on Thursday against Ostersunds were he fit. This looks like Danny Welbeck is going to lead the line in Sweden. A club statement revealed that striker Lacazette had undergone an arthroscopy on his left knee in London, that the procedure was successful, and his rehabilitation needs to be undergone.

Lacazette was criticised by Arsenal supporters over his display against their rivals from north London on Saturday after he spurned a chance to level the game during stoppage-time.

On Wednesday night a packed to capacity Emirates Stadium played host to the 2nd leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. With the aggregate set at 0-0 after a deadlock at Stamford Bridge for the first leg both teams had it all to play for at the Emirates.

The Emirates suffering from low attendance of late had none of that to worry about with a sold-out crowd treated to a never before seen light show before kick-off. Arsenal lining up for the first time since Sanchez’s departure to United, who is set for his Manchester United debut against Yeovil. However, they didn’t let that get them down. Despite many betting sites naming Chelsea as the favourites, the gunners in the end prevailed.

Chelsea took an early lead after good pressure with a trade mark Hazard break through the middle and superb finish to put the visitors 1-0 up on aggregate. But it was short lived as Arsenal switched formation to 5 at the back and quickly bounced back when Nacho Monreal headed an Ozil corner only to ping pong off two Chelsea defenders into the back of the net 1-1!!

On the hour mark Alexandre Lacazette hit one square that took a slight deflection and fell to the feet of Xhaka and he did not miss from there. Arsenal put in a fine defensive display for the rest of the game to seal the 2-1 win and the trip to Wembley for the final on the 25th of February. Tickets will go on sale on the 31st of January for the final and it is looking like Arsenal will be allocated 33000 of those tickets for fans.

Elneny, who had one of his best games in an Arsenal had this to say when asked about Alexis:

“We are not a one man team”

That remains to be seen for sure, but with a cup final trip coming up Arsenal fans can all smile for now. Arsenal are still looking to strengthen their team before the close of the transfer market with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund heavily linked with the gunners. It is reported the Gunners have made two bids for the striker and are about to make a third. Johnny Evans has also been linked as Arsenal looks to sure up it’s defence, which at many times this season has let in easy goals to cost the Gunners crucial points in the battle for Champions League places. No matter the outcome, Arsenal have it all to do, but fans will be behind them no matter what. COYG

Ronaldo and Messi have proved to be the kings of football in this generation, they may be the best ever. The pair has now won Fifa Men’s Player of the Year Award five times each. They have been running the show for over 10 years now. The argument that always tops soccer fanatic mouths is who the best between the two players is. As an australian online casino gambler, I would go with the statistics which say they are both great players.

The duo has been dominating the football world for over a decade now since 2008. Lionel Messi was the winner of Fifa Men’s Player of the Year Award in the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015. Meanwhile, the Portuguese International Cristiano Ronaldo scooped the award in 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017.

The battle lines are already drawn for the 2017/2018 sixth award. Lionel Messi has started the 2017/2018 season in a superb way for both his country and club. The Catalan forward has already scored 15 goals in 14 appearances. Recently, he made headlines for helping his country Argentina to qualify for 2018 World Cup in Russia. It was a must-win World Cup qualifier match against Ecuador. Messi emerged to be best man on the pitch that night by netting a hat-trick for Argentina.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s season started on a very bad note. The Real Madrid’s player was sent off against Barcelona in their victorious Spanish Super Cup for pushing the referee and served a five-match ban. This season he has scored seven goals in 10 appearances for his club. Did you know that casino canada online you can place your bets on your favorite player and a chance to win big?

The only real threat to Messi and Ronaldo is the Brazilian and PSG superstar Neymar who was one of the finalists for the award for the second year in a row. After a world breaking transfer from Barcelona to PSG, Neymar is already making a statement.

The Premier League is the biggest league in the world. Thanks to its popularity you can watch the games in almost every country and even place multiple bets on certain scenarios – for example you can get football betting odds on Paddy Power that allow you to guess the first goal scorer of the match.

It is standard for players to feature their surnames on their shirts along with a squad number to make it easier for the referees and fans to identify them. As a result, these players are now some of the most recognised sportsmen on the planet. Thanks to their popularity, we’ve created this quiz which tests your knowledge on Premier League players and their surnames. Give this quiz a try and see how familiar you are with the surnames of some high-profile Premier League players.

Wenger Turns on Arsenal after FA Cup Exit

Arsène Wenger has criticised the players in his team after watching them get removed from the FA Cup after losing to the Nottingham Forest football club, and acknowledged that he was deeply hurt by the third-round defeat, the first one he has had to undergo since he took over as the manager for Arsenal in 1996.

9 Changes Well Within His rights
Wenger made 9 changes for the trip to the City Ground, but defended this decision, stating that he was entitled to take such an experimental side to the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Chelsea coming up this evening, and added that the Arsenal football club needed to start taking responsibility for the way they played.

Arsenal’s Players Thought Dowell Struck the Ball Twice

The players for Arsenal were convinced that Kieran Dowell had struck the ball twice, by accident, when he managed to score a penalty late in the game to seal the 4 - 2 win for Forest, but Wenger did not direct his criticisms to the ref, Jon Moss. He stated, and many punters who took part in the match thanks to the sports betting NZ and the rest of the world provides for will agree, that his team were inferior in every possible way to their opponents, and that that is why they lost.

Brazil Asked if He Would Stay On

Gary Brazil, the caretaker manager for Forest in the wake of Mark Warburton being sacked, was interviewed afterwards, and asked if he would be applying for the job on a full-time basis. Brazil said he would not, but did mention that he would be reverting to being the academy director for the club when a new manager gets appointed.

Brazil stated that he was very proud of the way his players had performed, and that he thought the manager for the team would be stepping into a good thing. He added that Nottingham Forest was historically not as well-known as they were for nothing, and that the squad had once again shown that the acclaim they enjoy is deserved, and that the team still have the fan base and potential to hold their own in the big leagues.

Wenger Quizzed as to Effect of Reserve Team

Wenger, denying reports that Arsenal was anywhere near signing Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion, was asked if it had been an error to experiment with what turned out to be a reserve team. He replied that the schedule was very difficult, and that a number of players were on the edge. He stated that he understood that his selection would be reviewed, but that Arsenal had 8 or 9 experienced international players on the pitch, and that they should not have been as blindsided as they were. He concluded by saying he would not be mentioning individual performances, but he would say that he was very disappointed at the loss.

Wenger Still Riled by Hazard Penalty but Must Revive Arsenal
During a week in which two of his contemporaries have not been able to let sleeping dogs lie, something else is gnawing at Arsene Wenger as well. The unfairness he feels was done by the penalty being awarded to Eden Hazard during the game in which Arsenal drew 2 - 2 with Chelsea last Wednesday has not yet passed, and, when the pair meet once again this evening in the semi-final first leg for the League Cup, any kind of repeat of what he named a farcical decision may well result in something like spontaneous combustion at Stamford Bridge!

Wenger in the Stands
Wenger will be spending the match up in the stands, a continued legacy of his similar outrage to the West Bromwich Albion spot-kick on the 31st of December, but he is not yet willing to view what he viewed as a dive from Hazard at any kind of remove.

Wenger first misunderstood a question relating to Antonio Conte’s claim that it was in his nature to question refs, and inadvertently ended up agreeing with the manager from Chelsea whilst once more airing his Hazard grievances.

Wenger Questioned the Refs Decision
Wenger admitted to questioning the decision made by the referee, stating that one saw how Hazard went down and how quickly he took to the penalty when he got it. He was referencing the forward’s response to a challenge offered by Héctor Bellerín. As punters who took part in the game thanks to the betting NZ and the rest of the world makes available will no doubt agree, Wenger wonders about just how injured Hazard actually was.

Wenger stated that, if Hazard was so injured, why was the penalty taken? He acknowledged that Hazard was not to blame however, stating that the player acted professionally, getting a penalty for his team.

Is Wenger’s Energy Being Misdirected?
Another view is that the penalty was clear, and, the overreaction by Hazard notwithstanding, Wenger is misdirecting his energy on a call that is nowhere near as shocking as the one that Mike Dean took at The Hawthorns. Yet it is the latter that cost Wenger his place in the dugout, and, as he bears witness to his squad battling to hold on to their only chance of a local trophy, the feelings of helplessness will no doubt be familiar ones.

Wenger to Find Alternate Seating This Evening

February 2018 saw Wenger undergo a four-match ban after he pushed Anthony Taylor, and this included a league defeat of 3 - 1 at Stamford Bridge. Wenger watched from inside a designated area in the East Stand, and recalls the situation from every perspective as being an extremely uncomfortable, awkward one.

Wenger has stated that he will try to find a different place in terms of this evening’s seating plan, and it is safe to say that the same can be said of his squad, as well. Wenger was mightily upset by the lifeless surrender Arsenal made of the FA Cup at Nottingham Forest on Sunday, and said that he was incredibly let down by some of the players’ performances.

Arsenal will be starting Alexis Sánchez at Chelsea in spite of the £20m offer made to the player by Manchester City. Arsène Wenger will name Sánchez in his starting lineup for Arsenal for Wednesday evening’s Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg to take place at Chelsea, even though there is uncertainty regarding the forward’s future after Man City made the enormous offer to sign him during the transfer window in January.
Wenger Rocked by the Loss of Özil
As Australian Open tennis betting reaches fever pitch, football fans and Wenger have both been rocked by losing Mesut Özil to an injury not specified. The midfielder joins Laurent Koscielny, Sead Kolasinac, Olivier Giroud, Nacho Monreal, and Aaron Ramsey on the Stamford Bridge casualty list.

Wenger is stretched particularly in terms of defence, and will include Konstantinos Mavropanos, the new signing, among his substitutes. The centre-half, 20-years old, arrived from PAS Giannina in Greece last week, and Wenger had planned to loan him out, stating that the player was not yet ready to take to the field for Arsenal.

David Ospina will be starting against Chelsea instead of Petr Cech, the first-choice goalkeeper, but Wenger will have to choose his strongest team otherwise, which includes Sánchez.

City Eager to Sign Sánchez
Manchester City have wanted Sánchez since the summer, when they first tried to sign him, and, with the 29-year old player coming up to the end of his contract with Arsenal, they were pretty confident of getting him as a Bosman free agent when the season ends. Pep Guardiola will have to do without Gabriel Jesus for 8 weeks thanks to a medial collateral ligament injury, and this has made Guardiola all the more eager to sign Sánchez straight away. Man City has started talks with Arsenal already, indicating a willingness to pay £20m, although no one knows what the future will hold.

Multiple Football Clubs are Interested in Sánchez

Sánchez played under Guardiola at Barcelona in the past, and is now able to start discussing terms with clubs overseas. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have both indicated that they are keen, but City remain in the forefront. A contract that would be worth £13m for each season until 2023, or £250 000 a week, has apparently been offered to Sánchez, and Wenger stated that he neither expected the player to leave, nor to stay.

City’s First Attempt at Signing Sánchez Failed

Manchester City agreed to a deal for Sánchez in August 2018 worth £55m along with £5m in add-ons, but it collapsed when Arsenal did not manage to sign Thomas Lemar, from Monaco, as a replacement. Arsenal offered to pay £92m for Lemar, which Monaco accepted, but there was not enough time for the player to agree to moving.

There is no doubt that Arsenal would renew their interest in Lemar if Sánchez does leave now, and the football club is also apparently interested in getting hold of Riyad Mahrez from Leicester and Cristian Pavón of Boca Juniors in the near future.

Arsène Wenger has confirmed that Alex Iwobi will be fined if the midfielder for the Arsenal football club is confirmed to have been out partying in the early hours of Saturday morning, just one and a half days before the club underwent the shock 4 - 2 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
Video Footage Shows Iwobi Out and About

There is purportedly video footage that shows Iwobi dancing at 2h37 at a party in the Soho district, even though it is against Arsenal footage to allow for evenings out so close to a game. Should the images turn out to be what they are rumoured to be, Wenger will no doubt hit the roof, and Iwobi will join the ranks of the many players Wenger felt played very poorly during the match, which punters who enjoyed by means of Australian sports betting will recall was a total horrorshow.

Wenger Says Its Impossible to Go Out 48 Hours Before a Game
Wenger has said that if these rumours turn out to be true Iwobi will be fined, since it is impossible to perform properly if one has gone out 48 hours before a game gets started. He added that this kind of behaviour was totally unacceptable, but that he, Wenger, would need to see Iwobi before deciding on what to do.

Wenger stated that the incident definitely did not occur the night before the game, because they were all in a hotel at that time, but even 48 hours before was unacceptable. He said that he would address Iwobi and sort it out, but that caution was required with news breaking, and that he was worried because of reports of Iwobi being high on drugs. Wenger said Iwobi had denied these charges, but did acknowledge that he had been out to a birthday party. Wenger has yet to determine how long the player ended up staying, however, and will have to decide what happens next. It may not be the worst sporting scandal, but at this point, it does not bode well for player, coach or team.

Who Knows if This Affected Arsenal’s Game?

Although Wenger left the possibility that this kind of socialising may have had a negative impact on Iwobi’s display at City Ground open, he did admit that there was no way to know 100%.

He says that those with football experience will know that sometimes, no matter how prepared one was, one simply could not perform at one’s best ability, but 100% preparation is the bare minimum to be expected from a top-level professional.

The manager for the Arsenal football club has been openly critical of how his players performed on Sunday, and took it all a step further yesterday, saying that he had been particularly disappointed in individual players’ performances as well. He has stated that he has no interest in attacking referee decisions, and called on the entire squad to take responsibility for how the game had gone. Hopefully the rumours about Iwobi are untrue and Arsenal can get back up to speed sooner rather than later!

As always with a World Cup, there will be a host of Arsenal players competing at the tournament next summer for their respective nations. In 2014, Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker helped Germany lift the trophy in Brazil when they beat Argentina 1-0 after extra-time in the final.

Here is a look at which Arsenal players will be influential for their country at the finals in Russia in 2018.

Mesut Ozil (Germany)

Ozil remains a crucial player for defending champions Germany, who beat Argentina in the final in 2014. The Gunners midfielder is out of contract at the end of this season and hopefully, by the time he travels to Russia, he will have signed a new deal to stay at the club. Given the quality in the German squad, it would be a big surprise if Germany were not in the latter stages of the World Cup again. Ozil will most likely play on the left side of an attacking midfield trio where he will prove dangerous with the ball at his feet.

Olivier Giroud (France)

France manager Didier Deschamps is a big fan of Olivier Giroud who often gets the nod up front ahead of a number of top-class strikers that the French boss has at his disposal. Giroud has scored 16 goals for his country over the last couple of years. The bookmakers make France their 5/1 favourites in the international football betting for the tournament as the Euro 2016 runners-up have arguably the strongest squad in the world right now. Giroud should get lots of quality service from the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Kylian Mbappe so expected him to score plenty of goals.

Alex Iwobi (Nigeria)

Alex Iwobi was instrumental in helping Nigeria qualify for the 2018 World Cup and the Super Eagles will be relying on the Gunners forward to deliver on the biggest stage of them all if they are to progress out of their group. The African country has been drawn to face Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in what looks to be the toughest pool during the competition. They have made it through to the last 16 on three occasions during their history in the World Cup but they have never reached the quarter-final before so that will be their likely goal in 2018.

Granit Xhaka (Switzerland)

Granit Xahaka has already made 57 appearances for Switzerland, for whom he is an integral part of their starting XI. The £30 million signing from Basel helped his side to qualify for Russia with goals in qualifying against Faroe Islands and Hungary. The 2017 Swiss player of the year will be looking to help his side advance out of a group that includes Brazil, Costa Rice and Serbia.

Mohamed Elneny (Egypt)

Mohamed Elneny has not featured for Arsenal as much as he would have liked so far during the 2017/18 campaign, however, the 25-year-old will be at the World Cup next summer where he will be representing Egypt. Elneny will be playing in his first World Cup finals but with 57 caps, he is very experienced for his age at the international level.

The World Cup final in 2018 takes place on July 15 and hopefully an Arsenal player gets their hands on the trophy in Moscow.

Despite missing out on a Champions League place in the league last season, Arsenal have started the season reasonably well, sitting in 4th place. The Gunners will be hoping to add to their trophy cabinet, even if it isn’t the Premier League trophy. With Manchester United at the weekend, it will be interesting to see what the returns on a football bet on an Arsenal win would get.

As the most successful club in London, Arsenal fans have had some great times in the past, however more recently they have had to put up with merely finishing in the top four, rather than challenging for the league title. Despite Arsene Wenger winning them three Premier League titles, the fans would like a change of manager and as their last league title was back in the 2003/04 season it is not hard to understand why.

Long gone are the days of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Jens Lehmann, who all formed part of the ‘Invicibles’ squad. This squad went unbeaten for 49 league matches, including the whole of the 2003/04 title winning season.

We this record in mind, we have taken a look at the top four London football clubs and created an infographic with the facts and figures about each of them.

A rundown of players Arsenal could sell or loan next month.

We are fast approaching the January transfer window and with it comes the natural debate around which players Arsenal should be bringing in. Many experts feel that this is strategy game, akin to playing online blackjack, where sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. More importantly though, this is a time when the Gunners are likely to be making some pretty strategic outgoing deals.
There are players who have underperformed, some who have reached the end of their career and others who have simply past their sell-by date. While it may be sad to see some of our favourite players leave, football is a popular but cut throat business where sentiment cannot play a role in success.

Mathieu Debuchy

One man who could be leaving the squad is Mathieu Debuchy. The Frenchman looked to be a great investment for the Gunners but suffered a terrible injury after just a few games. At the time, fans were concerned with Carl Jenkinson being on loan at West Ham while the only right back rested on the shoulders of Hector Bellerin. The Spainard has since gone on to cement his place in the side, becoming a key member of the squad. Meanwhile Debuchy has been looking to force a move since the beginning of 2016.

David Ospina

David Ospina is another player that could be leaving the gunners sooner rather than later. With the arrival of the magnificent Peter Cech, Ospina was pushed out of the team and in all honestly, is simply too good for the bench. The Columbian seemed a bit rusty in the few opportunities he was given this season but is still undoubtedly a talented player and one that deserves a decent contribution to the sport.

Chuba Akpom

At just 22 years of age, Akpom has been on loan five times already. He has been on the books at Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Coventry City, and Brighton but has failed to recapture his epic form displayed back when he was playing in Arsenal’s academy sides. At this point, it is difficult to envision a future for him at Arsenal but a possible loan in January could give him one final chance to prove his worth.

Krystian Bielik

Centre-half Bielik had a good run with Birmingham last season and it would not have been a surprise if he had been sent out again. Unfortunately, an early season injury put him out of contention. In January, he will most likely return to gain some much-needed experience in the championship. Wegner will be looking for the ideal location where he is guaranteed to play and make up for lost time.

Raul Sanllehi Joins Arsenal Management Team

Arsenal is getting a major overhaul of their managerial structure, starting with the head of football relations. The Gunners managed to snap up Barcelona chief, Raul Sanllehi after the Spaniard decided to quit the team after fifteen years at the famous ‘Nau Camp’. Sanllehi’s appointment comes just a few weeks after Arsenal raided Dortmund for Sven Mislintat who is now their new head of recruitment.
A change in structure was promised last season already and is being pushed along with great enthusiasm from the powers that be. Sanllehi will join Arsenal and work alongside Mislintat and Wenger to form a completely new-look senior structure that will hopefully take the team to new heights.

The arrival of Mislintat and Sanllehi comes after Arsenal’s head transfer negotiator Dick Law resigned in September. His resignation was somewhat expected since the club received much criticism for their wavering success in recent years. Law also found is difficult to make any headway convincing Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to commit to new contracts with the Gunners.

In terms of credentials, Sanllehi comes with 15 years’ experience working at Barcelona. He has survived three club presidents and has been directly credited for the signing of influential players such as Luis Suarez and Neymar. Arsenal are hoping he will be making as much of an impact at the Emirates as he did at Barca. The role he is taking on is a bit like playing online real money pokies in that you never really know how successful you are going to be until you hit the jackpot.

Taking the Team to New Heights

As for Wenger, he resisted taking up the role of director of football, preferring instead to be in charge of the daily running of the club. However, under the terms of his new contract, which he signed last summer, Wenger would have to let someone else come in and help with contract talks and talent spotting.

Speaking to the press, Arsenal Chief Ivan Gazidis said that over a three-year period, thy have managed to supplement their team with top-class expertise across all their operations. The appointment of Sanllehi is another important step in developing the type of structure the team needs to take things to the next level. According to Gazidis, Sanllehi has been involved in some of the biggest transfers in European football and comes across with extensive contracts.

One of the main decisions that needs to be made by the new-look management team is what to do about Ozil and Sanchez. Both players contracts come to an end this season and the Gunners face the daunting prospect of losing two of their best players without a fee. If neither player wants to commit to Arsenal beyond the summer, the Gunners could be forced to sell them in the upcoming January transfer window to bring in a bit of cash.

Wenger Says it’s too Early for Man City to Celebrate

While it may be a forgone conclusion to some, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger says it’s far too premature to assume that his side can only hope to finish in second place this season. Currently Arsenal are fourth, a full 12 points behind the log leaders and 7 points adrift from second place, Manchester United. There is still time though. If there is one thing we can count on it’s that things can change at any given time.
If you are playing mobile pokies daily, at some point you are going to win. When and how much is a different story. Pep Guardiola's Man City squad have won 12 of their games and drawn just one. That doesn’t mean things can’t change. According to Wenger, every team has its vulnerabilities, including Man City. Speaking to the press, Wenger said that City had a good start to the season but it is still too early to know where everyone will end up. He reiterated the fact that we are currently in November and a championship is only won in May.

Wenger went on to explain that while the teams may seem far apart now, the only way his side can keep their hopes alive is to win games, which is why it remains his one and only focus. Wednesday’s game against Huddersfield is a case in point. We must remember, this was a team that pushed Manchester City to their limits before finally conceding a late goal to lose 2-1, and they certainly are not ready to claim an underdog label just yet.

Patience and Hard Work is the Key

Wenger believes that they didn’t deserve to lose to City. He said that they have played a total of 46 games in the Championship and are always ready for a challenge. Any team that comes up in the first season has a fighting spirit that makes them a dangerous matchup for just about anyone in the premier league. Meanwhile, Arsenal will make a bid for their third consecutive Premier League win playing at home.

The Gunners home record is impressive this season with 11 home-game wins in a row, a run that has not been seen since 2005. Wenger believes it is all down to solid defence and a bit of patience. He said that as a cohesive unit, Arsenal can turn things around. With the home supporters behind them, the team can extend their winning streak and rack up the points needed. It remains to be seen if Man City can carry on with their impressive performance in the new year.

If there is one football topic that is doing the rounds and getting Arsenal fans, all riled up, its Wenger’s decision to begin substituting Lacazette. Whether it’s the constant criticism from the press, or at the behest of the management team, Arsense Wenger has finally opened up about why he is slowly bringing Alexandre Lacazette into the Arsenal first team squad.

Lacazette left his French team, Lyon and signed with the Gunners in July this year. Since relocating to the Emirates, he has shown a strong start and seems to have adapted well to the pressures and expectations demanded of him. The 26-year-olds striker scored six goals in just 13 Premier League games along with one assist; and that has been this season alone. All in all, it seems he looks to be in great shape, is a good bet, and is ready to handle whatever comes his way.

It was all the more confusing then, when Wenger decided to start Lacazette on the bench against log leaders Manchester City earlier this month. This was not the only time Lacazette was side-lined. He was also pulled off before full time on nine occasions, prompting fans to wonder what Wenger is playing at, as his actions are as unpredictable as the results of the online slots NZ has to offer, only less rewarding!

Adding Variation in Attacks
The good news is Arsenal’s manager has come forward to explain his thinking behind the moves when he spoke to the press earlier this week. When asked why he substituted Lacazette regularly this season, Wenger replied that firstly, he would like to point out that his job is to substitute strikers more often than defenders. The reason is because strikers have to create, to provoke and be completely incisive on every run out he said.

In his second point, he explained that while Lacazette adapts well to the physical pressures of the Premier League, Wenger does have other options on the bench. These are players who are fresh and can give the team more variation in attacks. While this may have satiated some, others will feel Lacazette is not being used to his full potential.

The Frenchman will be hoping to start and play a full 90 minutes going forward, when the Gunners play at home. Their 1-0 win over Burnley on Saturday did enough to keep them in fourth place on the table. They are currently sitting on 25 points, one point below Chelsea, 7 points behind Manchester United and a full 12 points behind log leaders Manchester City.

Arsenal’s Top Two Greatest Players

Arsenal Football Club has had many wonderful players. But who are the very best in the Club’s history? Who are the two greatest players of all time? While this choice will to a large extent be personal, there are facts that cannot be altered, and, according to those, these are the top two.

Number Two: Dennis Bergkamp 1995 -2006

The only word to adequately describe Dennis Bergkamp’s career with Arsenal is genius. He had the right touch, fantastic flair, and terrific technique. There was very little, in fact, which this Dutchman could not do. His quality as a player helped Arsenal to soar to new heights, and in a world that is so frequently dominated by statistics and science, Bergkamp’s artistry was like no other player in history. His was a football of feeling, one that had no time for figures.

Bergkamp’s Two Defining Moments

Many footballers are remembered for one great moment of play, but Dennis Bergkamp had two, both of which will be very fondly remembered not just by spectators, but by punters who enjoy online betting in Australia and around the rest of the world these days. The first, in a game for Holland against the Argentineans, and the second for Arsenal, against what had become a cut off Newcastle defence, remain standing today as magnificent. Both moments displayed the kind of awareness and touch only seen in the very finest players, and were dominated by imagination, creativity and skill.

Bergkamp was risky, but, paradoxically, reliable as well. He played with incredible distinction, but was always dependable as well, and only true genius can manage this kind of imbalance. Only a gift can create the kind of beauty on field which Bergkamp did from such incredible instability. The blend of hard work and raw talent is potent, and are the ingredients which make a master, something which Bergkamp will always epitomise.

Thierry Henry is the Top Arsenal Player of All Time

Thierry Henry played for Arsenal from 1999 to 2017, and, to put it simply, changed how The Beautiful Game is played. The pace and power combined with sublime skill that Henry brought to the field is one of the reasons there are so many Arsenal supporters worldwide today.

It is something special to see when one witnesses a once-in-a-generation player doing what he does best, and Arsenal lucked out with Henry in this regard. When he appeared alongside Bergkamp, flanked by Ljungerg and Pires, the foursome brought to life the reason behind why football is described as The Beautiful Game. They shared a level of skill, awareness, and flair that 99% of players would not even be able to dream of replicating and none more so than Henry.

Henry scored a total of 226 goals in 369 games, and holds the all-time record. But, unlike Ian Wright, Henry provided more than just goals. The superior striker was actively involved in how Arsenal played. He had an almost telepathic relationship with Bergkamp, and his game was out of this world. It is truly sensational to watch Henry if full flight, floating across the pitch and veritably dancing his way around the defenders who opposed him!
