Sunderland vs Arsenal Preview - Come what May, but it Better be a Win.

Arsenal travel to Sunderland this Saturday for another must win match. In fact as you all well know, every match from now on, is a must win. If we are going to get into the top 4 this season, we can afford no more slip ups. I cannot afford to hear Spurs fans having this over our heads, we need to finish above them. Spurs play Newcastle this weekend, so we can hope that they will drop points. But that only means that we cannot afford anything less than a win. So the teams.....

Yes Laurent Koscielny is facing a late fitness test, so we may see Miquel in defence, as Thomas Vermaelen is also still injured. I hope it's Miquel, because I have less faith in Sebastien Squillaci, then I do in Andre Santos....yes I know, how is that possible? That attack of Walcott, Podolski and Giroud is mouth watering at the moment and I just have to believe that we are going to take this one. With Titus Bramble in the middle, surely we can punch a hole through that Sunderland defense.

Only Time will tell, but I am predicting a 3-1 win for the Arsenal.

Some Facts for you:
  • Just three of Arsenal's 23 attempts at goal were on target as they drew 0-0 with Sunderland in the reverse fixture at the Emirates earlier this season.
  • Per Mertesacker injured his ankle ligaments on Sunderland's poor pitch in this fixture last season and the Black Cats took advantage to open the scoring in a 1-2 defeat to the Gunners.
  • The Gunners have lost just one of their last nine trips to the north east in the Premier League (W3 D5 L1).
