Diaby who is that?...Oh I Remember!

Abu Diaby

Abou Diaby remember that guy? Yes? Well what do you remember him for? Oh the 4-4 game with Newcastle where he was sent off and probably was the reason we drew. Ok maybe not only that, but the point is Diaby hasn't really done anything else to make fans go 'oh yes Diaby'. He is just know for being injured. But guess what he is on the comeback trail.

Diaby started running last week and is hopeful he is now on the long road to recovery after his latest heartbreaking injury. French midfielder Diaby, cursed by knocks throughout his career, had to undergo further surgery last month after a setback in his recovery from cruciate knee ligament damage.

His contract is set to expire in the summer of 2015, but he hopes to be back in Arsenal's plans and reward Wenger for all the faith and support he has shown him. Wenger believes the 27-year-old could return to action in March, although we have all heard this many times about Diaby.

Meanwhile, Wenger is hoping forward Lukas Podolski - who resumed training with the first team this week following an August hamstring injury - could return before Christmas.

Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) is hoping to train properly in mid-December and be back for the New Year.
