A Hard Fought 3 Points

Well, that was a hard one. 2-0 up and it looked like we were certainly cruising for an easy victory. But a Red Card and a Penalty and it was suddenly a massive battle. However the Gunners prevailed and the 3 points moved us above Chelsea into the top 4.

Rosicky has always been one of my protected species....you don't know what it is...well it means he can do no wrong in my eyes. You know like how Arseblog still defends Bendtner. So when Rosicky went through that rough patch I took a lot of flack. But ever since last season, the work horse Rosicky has been back in the good graces of all Arsenal fans. Who would have thought that he would have snapped up Arsenal's 2 goals in fine fashion. I am sure we were all smiling as much as he was.

After cruising along for most of the game, Mertesacker brought down Long in the box...Red Card and a penalty = 2-1 with 10 men on the field. West Brom had many chances from that moment on and it took all that Arsenal had to hold out for the 90 min and 5 min of injury time. Arsene Wenger would have breathed a huge sigh of relief as I did when the final whistle went. Chelsea and Spurs play today, so lets hope for results to go our way. I could do with a 4th place standing at the end of the weekend.

Below are some highlights from the game and the thoughts of the boss.
